Not only is the fabric soft due to the cashmere, the lines are graceful due to the soft princess tailoring. Attention to detail makes this coat stand out from cheaper brands. There's a flattering yoke and top stitching, generous hood, quality toggle buttons, roomy patch pockets, and a zip closure with several snaps to seal out the cold. The weight is slightly lighter than an all-sheep's wool coat, but it is still warm and cuddly. Adding to the coat's appeal is a somewhat longer length that gives a lean line while adding more warmth. The color I chose is a a pretty gray that contrasts with the toggle closures. This coat is a bargain for the price. So far it has served me well. It looks nice, the dark grey color is as it appears on my screen (I would call it more medium grey), and it has a flattering fit for a big bulky coat. The small fits true to size with room for layering underneath.My only complaint is the pockets. There is a top flap and also side openings for your hands, but the pockets are too small, too high up and too far towards the back to be comfortable handwarmer pockets -- I have to bend my arms awkwardly to even get my fingertips in. As long as you have warm gloves, this coat is a good choice. |
