I haven't tested the mixer yet but the colour is more beautifaul than in the pictures. I was expecting a racy hot pink, this is a slightly more sophisticated colour and raspberry is a good description of it, the pearlised shimmer is very subtle, it's not a sparkly finish like I thought it would be, I really like it. I saw one person (who had not seen the mixer) suggest that only a 13 year girl would go for this shade, that comment almost put me off but I am glad I ordered it anyway. If you love pink and want an alternative to the very pale pink that is widely available, this is a great option. I previously had the baby pink one before I moved, and I love this color a lot more. I noticed that the baby pink standmixer stained easily (along with all of the other pink kitchen aid utensils), so this color seems more suitable for a kitchen. I also love that the bowl is glass with the measurements on the side. All in all, I think kitchenaid makes quality products and I am very happy with their mixers. My only complaint would be that the scraper has to be bought separately, I wish that it was included in the box because you definitely have to scrape the bottom of the bowl every once in a while mixing. super satisfied with my new mixer, By Bennett Strobel "Kiri's Hubby" (EWA BEACH, HI, US) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: KitchenAid Artisan Design 5-Quart Stand Mixer, Raspberry Ice (Kitchen) where do i start... its easy to use. this is my first mixer and the learning curve is slim to none. since i got the mixer i have made a bunch of cookies. different kinds of cookies, pumpkin, sugar, chocolate chip and they all get mix well and even. the whip makes it so so so much more easier to make frosting. we also bought the beater attachment with the scraper. i would strongly advise you to get one. it makes mixing batches so much easier. you really dont have to stop to scrap the bowl. my husband has also used the mixer. :D he mostly uses the dough hook to make pizza dough. he says its much easier and faster too. the color is so puuuurrrrrrtttttttyy!!! beside the fact that it works so well the color just makes it that much better. overall very happy that my loving husband bought this for me. the possibilities are endless... :D |
