It's thinner than the average leather jacket adding to the soft, supple drape I was looking for. I originally ordered this in my regular size, but since scuba by nature is more fitted and I prefer a more room in my jackets, I exchanged it for a larger size. Luxury Lane was great to deal with, I would definately purchase from them again. But when I opened it, I found a very well constructed jacket. The zipper is good quality, the stitching and finish are very good, and it drapes quite well. It is fully lined, but not insulated, so if you are going to wear it in very cold weather, you'll want to buy a larger size so you can fit a sweater underneath. I usually wear size 12, but I bought this jacket in a large and am happy with the fit.
